About Dafydd
I have been playing the saxophone since the age of 8 and gained a distinction in Grade 8 at the age of 14. I have extensive musical experience across many genres. Being an ex-student of Chetham’s School of Music and a current student at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama I have gained extensive knowledge throughout my career that I am willing to share and use to help students reach their goals.
I have studied with some of the UK’s finest jazz musicians including: Iain Ballamy, Iain Dixon, Gareth Lockrane and Mark Lockheart.

My teaching method is soley based on what the student would like to achieve. This could include learning the saxophone to a very high level and learning techniques that are essential in the world of improvisation (any genre). I use many of the methods that I myself have been taught by some of the UK’s finest musicians.
