I take a student-centred approach, tailoring each lesson to the individual’s needs, strengths, and areas for improvement. My teaching combines conceptual understanding with practical problem-solving, ensuring students don’t just memorise formulae but truly understand the material. I use a mix of worked examples, interactive exercises, and real-world applications, particularly in maths, physics, and chemistry, to make concepts engaging and relatable. I also emphasise exam technique and strategy, helping students build confidence in tackling different types of questions under time pressure. For students struggling with a topic, I break down complex ideas into step-by-step explanations and encourage active problem-solving to reinforce learning. Lesson Structure: Typical lessons last 60–90 minutes, but I’m happy to adapt to shorter or longer sessions depending on the student’s focus and schedule. Lessons often include a review of previous material, introduction of new concepts, guided practice, and independent exercises to consolidate understanding.
