About Arun

Football has always been more than just a sport to me. It is a powerful platform for personal growth, teamwork, discipline, and leadership. My passion for football, combined with my desire to positively influence players' development, is the primary reason I chose to pursue a career in coaching.

I believe that a coach plays a crucial role in shaping not only better footballers but also better individuals. A good coach inspires players to reach their full potential, develop confidence, and learn important life values such as commitment, respect, resilience, and responsibility. Being able to contribute to this development process is what motivates me to become a football coach.

To prepare myself for this career, I have continuously invested in my education and professional development. I hold a Master's in Football and Business Management from the Sport Business Institute of Barcelona, Spain, which has provided me with valuable knowledge of football operations, leadership, and modern sports management. In addition, I have earned several coaching qualifications, including the FAM Football Grassroot Coaching Certificate, AFC Football License 'D', Kuala Lumpur FA Basic Football Strength and Conditioning Certificate, and coaching certifications from the Football Association of Wales, including Introduction to Coaching Football, Safeguarding Awareness Award, and Football Emergency Aid.

These qualifications have strengthened my understanding of player development, coaching methodology, athlete welfare, and performance conditioning. They have also reinforced my belief that successful coaching requires continuous learning and adaptation to the evolving demands of modern football.

Currently, I am working as a Coach at EuroAsia Academy Singapore and as an Assistant Coach for Hougang Women's Team in the Singapore Women's Premier League. These roles have allowed me to gain practical experience in training design, player management, match preparation, and team development. Working with players of different ages and competitive levels has taught me the importance of understanding individual needs while maintaining a collective team vision.

One of my key coaching interests is football conditioning and athletic performance. Modern football requires players to be physically prepared to perform at a high intensity throughout the entire match. Therefore, I am passionate about helping players improve their endurance, speed, agility, strength, and overall fitness. By focusing on conditioning, I aim to help athletes maximize their performance while reducing the risk of injuries.

My long-term goal is to continue developing as a coach and contribute to the growth of football at both grassroots and elite levels. I want to create positive learning environments where players feel motivated, supported, and challenged to achieve excellence. Through coaching, I hope to make a lasting impact on the lives of players and help them become successful both on and off the field.

For me, coaching is not simply about winning matches. It is about inspiring people, building character, developing talent, and creating opportunities for individuals to reach their highest potential. This passion for helping others grow is the reason I want to become a football coach.

Personal Football Training Focus on Conditioning

My personal football training program is primarily focused on developing high-level physical conditioning to enhance overall performance on the field. Football is a demanding sport that requires a combination of endurance, speed, strength, agility, and mental resilience. Therefore, my training emphasizes building a strong physical foundation that allows me to perform consistently throughout the entire match.

The main objective of my conditioning program is to improve cardiovascular endurance, enabling me to maintain a high work rate during both attacking and defensive phases of play. Through structured aerobic and anaerobic exercises, I aim to increase my stamina, recover faster between intense actions, and sustain peak performance during competitive matches.

In addition to endurance, my training focuses on speed and agility development. Football requires quick changes of direction, explosive acceleration, and rapid reactions. By incorporating sprint drills, agility ladder exercises, and movement-based conditioning sessions, I work to improve my ability to respond effectively to game situations and gain an advantage over opponents.

Strength and power training also play a significant role in my conditioning routine. Lower-body and core-strength exercises help improve balance, stability, jumping ability, and physical competitiveness during challenges and duels. These exercises contribute to injury prevention while enhancing overall athletic performance.

Furthermore, my conditioning program includes recovery strategies such as stretching, mobility exercises, proper nutrition, hydration, and adequate rest. Recovery is essential for maintaining training quality, preventing fatigue, and ensuring continuous improvement throughout the season.

Overall, my football conditioning training is designed to develop the physical attributes necessary for modern football. By consistently focusing on endurance, speed, agility, strength, and recovery, I strive to become a more complete, resilient, and effective player capable of performing at my highest level in every match.
