About Luca

I am a young professional with a 1st class Bachelors Degree in History and Politics. Originally Portuguese, I also speak Spanish and English natively with a passion for reading, especially classic literature!
I offer engaging and personalised lessons, focusing on building confidence and critical thinking. As a neurodivergent person, I understand the importance of adapting learning to each person's needs- what works for one person may not work for the next. I tailor each session to the learner's level and style: whether that’s structured exam preparation, interactive homework or deep dives into complex topics. I use a mix of discussion, guided analysis and exercises to put the theory into practice. For language learners, I emphasise pronunciation and cultural context to build fluency naturally. Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, with flexibility if needed. I provide clear learning objectives and regular feedback weekly.

About the lesson

I have worked with learners of all ages, from high school students to university and young professionals, allowing me to develop strong adaptability skills. My sessions are welcoming, well-organised, and designed to make progress feel achievable. With over three years of experience supporting global teams, I have developed strong communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills that translate directly into my teaching. I’ve trained new starters, created onboarding materials, and led knowledge-sharing initiatives, transforming concepts into digestible information. If you are looking for a tutor who combines academic excellence with a supportive and kind teaching style, I would be delighted to help you reach your goals!

I have known Luca for few years as our Spanish tutor. He is an exceptional teacher who has a rare ability to explain complicated linguistic topics in an easy-to-digest way. His passion for the subject is contagious, and he always comes to lessons extremely prepared. Thanks to his patient guidance and tailored feedback, my kids 8 and 12 felt much more confident in their understanding of Spanish and saw a real improvement in their results. I highly recommend Luca to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and supportive Spanish tutor.

I had the pleasure of meeting Luca while working in pharma IT at BMS, and what began as a professional connection quickly grew into one of the most rewarding learning experiences I’ve had. Knowing my passion for history, Luca became my tutor—and he has been exceptional from day one.

He is incredibly approachable, deeply knowledgeable, and has a rare ability to explain historical events through the social and economic ripples that shape them. Luca brings a strong commitment to inclusivity and fairness to everything he does, creating an environment where you feel welcome, understood, and genuinely supported.

What sets Luca apart is his ability to tailor learning to your interests and goals. He takes the time to understand how you learn and builds a customised plan that keeps you engaged, challenged, and inspired.

I truly could not recommend Luca more. Anyone would be lucky to learn from him.

I reached out to Luca for tutoring in the lead up to a History and Politics exam, where I felt as if I could use extra support to strengthen my knowledge and get the best mark possible. From the get-go, Luca was extremely warm and made me feel comfortable (a real bonus if, like me, you are embarrassed when you make mistakes!) and I would also like to commend his patience. Tutoring on topics that require a lot of background and nuance is not an easy feat, but he provided great feedback and struck the balance between making lessons fun, and more serious when required.

I’d highly recommend Luca to anyone. Thanks to his help I was able to see real progress in my grades and marks at the end of the school year
