About Alend
My name is Alend, and I am a native German speaker from Germany, now based in London. I studied law in Germany and completed a double master’s degree at LSE and Fudan University. I currently work as a Policy Adviser in the UK Civil Service.
I have lived, studied and worked in several countries, so I understand both the excitement and frustration of learning a new language. I want to teach because clear, patient support can make a major difference to confidence. My lessons are professional, friendly and adapted to each student’s level, goals and learning style.

I offer structured, supportive German lessons for beginners, intermediate learners and students preparing for school, university, work or everyday life in a German-speaking country. As a native German speaker with an international academic and professional background, I explain grammar clearly, build practical vocabulary and adapt each lesson to the student’s goals.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and combines conversation, grammar, reading, pronunciation and short exercises. I also help with written German, presentations, applications and exam preparation. My teaching style is patient, clear and encouraging, with a strong focus on helping students become more confident and independent.
