About Lucy

I am a classically trained pianist with over 15 years of experience and advanced performance qualifications including LTCL and ARSM diplomas. Music has been a central part of my life for many years, shaping both my discipline and creativity.

I want to teach because I believe music education should be inspiring, not intimidating. Having gone through the full journey from beginner to diploma level myself, I understand the challenges students face and how to guide them effectively. Teaching allows me to share my passion for piano while helping students build confidence, achieve their goals, and enjoy the process of learning music.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on building strong technique alongside musical expression and confidence. With over 15 years of classical piano training and advanced qualifications including LTCL and ARSM, I help students develop efficient practice habits, good posture, tone control, and interpretive skills.

Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, whether learning for enjoyment or preparing for ABRSM/Trinity exams and performances. A typical lesson is 45–60 minutes depending on age and level.

I teach students of all ages, from beginners to advanced players working towards ABRSM Grade 8 level. My style is structured, supportive, and encouraging, aiming to help every student progress with confidence and enjoyment.
