About Iris
I am a committed violin tutor with 11 years of experience, having guided around 300 students across different levels, including high school students, college learners, and adults. My teaching philosophy is based on consistency, clear instruction, and continuous improvement, as I believe these are key to success in music learning.
I focus on building a strong foundation by teaching posture, bowing technique, finger positioning, and tone clarity. I also include exercises and songs that make lessons engaging and easy to follow. I guide students on how to practice effectively so they can improve outside of lessons.
One of my proud achievements is helping students perform with confidence and develop a lasting interest in violin. My aim is to create a positive and motivating learning experience.

My violin teaching approach combines clear communication, personalized instruction, and practical application of musical skills. I carefully observe each student’s learning style and adjust lessons to their abilities, pace, and interests.
I focus on building a strong foundation in posture, bowing technique, finger placement, intonation, and tone quality while fostering creativity and expressive playing. I use real-life examples such as learning favorite songs, performing in small settings, and exploring music’s emotional storytelling to make lessons engaging and relevant.
Alongside violin, I teach music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight-reading, and basic keyboard skills to strengthen overall musicianship. My goal is to create an encouraging, enjoyable, and structured learning environment where students gain confidence, improve steadily, and develop a lifelong love for music.
