About Rakshit
I am an Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Nagaland, with an expertise in Computer programming and application, including but not limited to Basic Programming, Networking, and Competetive programming. I am interested in Machine learning and AI and have an upcoming thesis on 'Path Planning and Navigation of Automatic Vehicles' that focuses on applications of AI in Robotics. I speak C, C++, Python, and Java and am an avid user of Ubuntu Linux.
I have been coding for over 10 years now and have volunteered as a teacher for quite some time.

My teaching method is usually very hands-on but I do like to cover important theoretical concepts before I teach my students the nuances of their application. My class will usually be structured into two sets, a theory session and a guided hands-on. I will also expect my students to make extensive use of pen and paper for writing and understanding code.
Contrary to common perception, an education in computer programming cannot be achieved on a computer. Students must first learn to emulate the compiler and the machine they are working on before they can proceed to write code. Having tried every way there is to teach and learn to code, I swear by this technique and use it extensively in my classes.
I will usually end with a capstone project.
My classes are targeted at the senior student, tenth grade or above. I will gladly accept students who are currently pursuing a degree in a STEM field. I expect my students to have a working understanding of computers and some basic math and preferably a GitHub account.
P.S. My classes tend to be quite advanced, therefore I might have a screening process to determine eligible candidates for the class.
