About Serena
I started writing when I was 13 and was terrible at it. I misspelled the word "sword" throughout my entire manuscript. But I loved it. I wanted to be better at it so I learned. I took extra classes, joined writers groups, attended seminars and conferences, went to university and got good.
Since then, I've helped so many writers see the errors and the beauties in their works and take their words from okay to great. I've critiqued and analyzed manuscripts to get them fit to publish. My heart is woven by words and I would be honored to help you find yours.

With over ten years of writing experience under my belt, I can talk you through any difficulties you may face in reading or writing literature. I have done contract editing for children's novels and host a weekly writer's group--I can take you from widespread developmental edits all the way down to when to use a semicolon.
We can discuss what you are struggling with and ascertain how to make it more accessible to you. I instruct through conversation; by the time we are done, it will feel like you have been talking to a friend and are surprised that you learned a few things. As someone who has struggled with dyslexia, I can coach a range of students from those with learning disabilities to those simply hoping to improve upon their work; however, my material and methods will be best suited for high school and college students.
