About Zara

With more than 12 years of experience teaching Piano, I have worked with students from beginners to intermediate levels, including school students, college students, and working professionals. My goal is to make learning Piano enjoyable, effective, and accessible to everyone.

My teaching style combines technical development with creativity and self-expression. I adapt lessons to suit each student's learning pace, ensuring they feel motivated and confident throughout their journey.

Students learn piano fundamentals, finger exercises, scales, chords, rhythm training, sight reading, music theory, ear training, and performance skills. I also help students build discipline and consistency through effective practice routines.

Apart from Piano, I teach keyboard skills and foundational music theory. These areas provide students with the knowledge needed to become independent and confident musicians.

I am committed to creating a positive and encouraging learning environment where students can grow, achieve their goals, and enjoy the beauty of music. My greatest reward is seeing students gain confidence and develop a genuine passion for Piano.

About the lesson

I believe learning piano should be an exciting journey filled with creativity, confidence, and continuous improvement. My teaching methodology focuses on communication, flexibility, creativity, and student-centred learning. Every lesson is planned according to the student's strengths and learning objectives.

The learning process begins with posture, hand position, finger coordination, rhythm, note reading, and music theory. These skills are developed through practical exercises before students move on to scales, chords, pedal techniques, dynamics, expressive playing, sight reading, and performance preparation.

I encourage students to understand musical concepts through practical demonstrations instead of memorising information. This approach helps students become independent learners who enjoy exploring new music.

Students experience different musical styles while developing creativity through improvisation and accompaniment. Regular performance opportunities and personalised feedback build confidence and improve stage presence.

Besides piano, I teach keyboard skills, ear training, rhythm exercises, music theory, sight reading, music appreciation, and beginner composition. These additional subjects provide a complete musical education.

My goal is to inspire students to enjoy every lesson, achieve their personal goals, and develop a lifelong appreciation for piano and music.
