About Guangxian
I'm Xiaoxian from Yunnan, China, and I'm 36 years old. I specialized in Chinese Language and Literature; this academic background has given me a profound and professional understanding of Chinese phonetics, grammar, characters, and the extensive and profound Chinese culture. Additionally, I hold a nationally certified Mandarin Proficiency Test Certificate (Level 2, Grade A), enabling me to provide you with clear and standard guidance on Chinese pronunciation. I am also the mother of an 8-year-old child. This role has deepened my understanding of "teaching" and "learning" — I know how to guide children with extra patience and fun, and I can empathize with the difficulties adults may encounter when learning a new language. China has 56 ethnic groups in total, and 26 of them gather in Yunnan. So, we can chat like friends: about the snow on Cangshan Mountain, the moon over Erhai Lake, or "virtually" savor the mellow fragrance of Pu'er tea. We can also talk about the beautiful peacock spreading its tail and various vibrant ethnic costumes! In terms of personality, I am outgoing, patient, and curious. I firmly believe that the essence of learning is a joyful exploration, not a boring task. Therefore, my classes are always full of energy and interaction. I have a wide range of hobbies: from exploring local cuisines everywhere, to traveling and measuring the world with my feet, to skateboarding which lets me enjoy the wind and freedom. These hobbies not only enrich my life but also allow me to easily find common topics with students of different ages and backgrounds, keeping our classes immersed in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere from start to finish. I deeply love the education industry, and my greatest sense of accomplishment comes from seeing students start from scratch and finally be able to express themselves confidently in Chinese — and through the window of language, truly understand and fall in love with Chinese culture.
