About Ryan
I am a Chinese-Malaysian artist from Penang, Malaysia. In Malaysia, I draw for exhibitions in art festivals, conduct workshops and live demonstrations, and facilitate and attend art events including art walks and open studios. I have been under the wing of very good art teachers and hope that I can also spark an interest in art within my students! I have received positive feedback for my workshops and I hope that my lessons are as helpful as my workshops.

I teach based on the interests of students and the direction they would like to head towards, for example I would teach an ATAR student differently than I would an art hobbyist. I am a strong advocate for drawing from life, as I believe that is the best method to practice observational skills. I believe everyone learns at their own pace and have individual strengths, therefore I would always be patient and help individual students find their own artistic directions,
