About Sophie
I am a Malaysian Chinese who is a fresh graduate in BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies and is currently living in Birmingham! I have been caring for children since 2019 and have been doing work placements which has allowed me to broaden my experience in caring and educating children from ages 0-8. I have both a DBS check and a Paediatric First Aid certificate which can be shown to you upon request!
Briefly about me, I can speak 4 different languages (English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Malay), I love to read and bake during my spare time as well as going on walks in the park. I am seen as a bubbly and outgoing person which has allowed me to create new healthy relationships with people easily! My typical length of a lesson would be around 45 minutes - 1 hour max. I would usually start off with simple words to understand the child's progress and start to build lessons from there. I have experiences teaching children from ages 2-8 not only from my previous jobs as a nursery teacher but also tutoring my neighbours' children during COVID-19!
