Hi, I’m Mika!
I’m a native Mandarin-speaking Malaysian with a passion for language, communication, and sharing stories.
I’m a UEC graduate from Foon Yew High School and have 6 years of experience as a lecturer, teaching Diploma-level students in Business Studies. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Marketing, which I completed while studying in China .
I believe learning Mandarin should be fun, practical, and natural, not just memorizing vocabulary and grammar. My goal is to help you understand the essence of Mandarin, speak more confidently, and enjoy using the language in real-life situations.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to improve your speaking skills, I’ll make the lessons relaxed, interactive, and tailored to you.

My Approach to Tutoring
I believe Mandarin should be fun, practical, and relevant to real life. My lessons focus on helping students understand the essence of the language rather than simply memorizing vocabulary and grammar.
Teaching Methodology
️ Conversation-based learning – practice Mandarin through real-life situations and everyday conversations.
Practical Mandarin – focus on phrases and expressions that native speakers actually use.
Learn through stories & culture – use interesting stories, experiences and cultural context to make learning more engaging.
Interactive practice – encourage students to speak, ask questions and build confidence through active participation.

My Qualifications & Experience
I am a native Mandarin-speaking Malaysian and a UEC graduate from Foon Yew High School (宽柔中学). I have 6 years of experience as a lecturer, teaching Diploma-level students in Business Studies. I also hold a Master's Degree in Marketing, which I completed while studying in China.
