About Helene

Hello! I’m a native Mandarin Chinese speaker from Taiwan with a passion for languages and teaching.

I have experience helping students learn languages in a supportive and structured way, and I understand the challenges learners face because I am also learning foreign languages myself. This allows me to explain Mandarin clearly and patiently from a learner’s perspective.

I teach fluently in Korean and Japanese, and I can communicate at a basic level in English and French, which helps students from different backgrounds feel comfortable during lessons. My goal is to create a relaxed learning environment where students can build confidence and enjoy the process of learning Mandarin.

I especially enjoy helping students improve their speaking skills and use Mandarin naturally in real-life situations, whether for daily conversation, travel, cultural interest, or personal growth.

Learning a language is not only about grammar — it is also about communication and connection. I look forward to helping you achieve your language goals step by step!

About the lesson

My Teaching Method & Approach

• Lesson Structure

Each lesson is carefully adapted to the student’s level and learning goals. A typical lesson includes:

Warm-up conversation or review

Vocabulary and useful expressions

Practical sentence patterns and grammar explanation

Speaking practice through real-life situations

Feedback and pronunciation correction

Lessons focus on helping students use Mandarin naturally in real communication, not just memorizing rules.

---

• Teaching Style & Features

My teaching style is patient, supportive, and highly personalized. I believe language learning should feel comfortable and motivating.

Customized lessons based on your goals
Speaking-focused and practical learning
Clear explanations in English (and basic Korean/French if needed)
Relaxed and encouraging learning environment
Step-by-step guidance to build confidence

I aim to help students speak Mandarin confidently in daily life, travel, or professional situations.

---
