About Mark
I am Mark Opondo, a passionate educator, researcher, and data analyst with a background in Applied Statistics. My journey in academia has been driven by a love for numbers and a desire to make complex concepts accessible to learners. Teaching is a way for me to contribute to the growth and empowerment of individuals, equipping them with critical skills to solve real-world problems. I want to teach because I believe education is the most powerful tool for fostering innovation, encouraging analytical thinking, and improving institutional effectiveness. Through teaching, I aim to inspire and guide the next generation of learners to be problem-solvers and innovators in their fields.

Mark has extensive expertise in Tutoring statistical courses like Descriptive Statistics and Inferential Statistics and in developing educational tools, conducting social research, and analyzing data using various statistical software, including SPSS, STATA, R, and Ms-Excel. Mark has taught and examined a range of courses, from Health Statistics to Demography and Social Statistics, at both tertiary and university levels. My contributions extend to national roles, including being a tool developer and validator with TVET CDACC and a tutor and examiner with Kenya Medical Training College. Mark also provides consultancy services in research, data analysis, and report writing, and is actively involved in community development initiatives in Siaya, Kenya.
