About Suki
I am a graduate from the University of Oxford with a Master's in Biochemistry, offering lessons in Chemistry, Biology and Maths. I have always had a deep interest in the human body, but especially at the molecular and cellular levels, which inspired me to pursue a degree in Biochemistry, including a year in the lab specialising in cancer research and multiple myeloma. Alongside my own studies, I have always loved using my knowledge to help others, which led me to begin tutoring as a volunteer and subject ambassador at my secondary school, and then to continue as a private tutor throughout my further studies.

I tailor my lesson plans to the specific needs of my students, whether that be targeting exam technique to boost grades, or just helping to improve confidence in a specific subject area. It is most important to me to create a supportive and comfortable environment to put my student at ease, as this gets the most out of the lesson time for them. My lessons are 1h minimum, as I feel that shorter lessons typically do not give enough time to explore the topic at hand in enough depth and answer all of the student's questions, but I am always happy to offer longer, for example 1.5h or 2h if this suits that student better. I have tutored 1:1 online, as well as in person, and as a volunteer tutor at my school, which has given me a wealth of experience over the past 6 years, with people of a range of ages and levels. I am currently offering Chemistry lessons working towards either GCSE or A Level, although I am happy to take KS3 students looking to work ahead of their curriculum towards their upcoming GCSEs. In addition, I teach both Maths and Biology, which are both important related subjects, hence I am able to bring in contextual knowledge from these subjects, or lessons in these subjects as well if the student is interested.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
Suki is an excellent tutor, who is knowledgeable and hardworking, providing an engaging and supportive atmosphere to students. She is incredibly kind and easy to get along with and I would recommend her to anyone.
I met Suki as a fellow student at Oxford University. Suki studied one of the most notoriously difficult subjects and yet braved every challenge that was thrown her way and graduated with good grades.
Suki is a empathetic, hard-working and ambitious. She is good at seeing the best in people and at bringing out their true potential. For example, she pulled together a wide network of students who supported each other in sports and academics. For this reason, I am confident that she will tutor based on a deep understanding of her students' needs and will commit to helping them do their best.
At Oxford university, Suki maintained high grades whilst participating in a wide range of extracurriculars and encouraging her friends to develop themselves emotionally as well as academically. As a tutor, Suki will discourage unhealthy working practices and help to build sustainable study patterns and independence.
Suki works hard at whatever she puts her mind to, and will never take the easy way out of a challenge. She would never discourage a pupil and will always understand when they struggle with a topic.
For these reasons, I am confident that Suki will not only do her best for her tutees but will also bring out the best in them.
Suki is hardworking and diligent, both in her own work during university and professionally, as well as in helping others. I have personally experienced Suki's sensitive yet driven approach to tutoring, listening to the student's concerns and opinions and setting lessons targeted to their needs. She is reliable and punctual, preparing lessons in advance and doing extra marking work to give students a good grounding for assessments.
