About Ammar

I am a PhD Engineer, university professor, researcher, and multidisciplinary design and technology educator with more than 25 years of experience in engineering, technical drawing, CAD, BIM, architectural modelling, mechanical design, visualization, and professional software applications.

I have taught and supported engineering students, architecture students, civil and mechanical designers, architects, interior designers, researchers, technicians, professionals, and career-transition learners. My experience ranges from basic technical drawing and software foundations to coordinated BIM models, mechanical assemblies, architectural documentation, complex three-dimensional geometry, and professional design workflows.

My teaching philosophy is based on a clear principle: CAD and BIM should represent sound design and engineering logic—not merely produce attractive drawings or complex models.

I explain why a particular modelling method is appropriate, how geometry should be constructed, how design intent should be preserved, how drawings and models should be coordinated, and how errors can be detected before they affect later project stages.

My expertise includes:

• AutoCAD 2D drafting and 3D modelling
• Autodesk Revit for architectural, structural, and BIM documentation workflows
• Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks for parts, assemblies, sheet metal, and mechanical drawings
• SketchUp for architectural, interior, and conceptual modelling
• Rhinoceros 3D and Grasshopper foundations for precise and complex geometry
• Architectural plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, sheets, and construction-document foundations
• Civil and site drafting, topographic representation, grading concepts, profiles, and infrastructure layouts
• Mechanical design, parametric modelling, assemblies, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation
• CAD/BIM coordination, file exchange, standards, templates, revisions, quality control, and technical presentation
• Civil 3D, Navisworks, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Blender, Lumion, Enscape, Twinmotion, Excel, Photoshop, and Illustrator when relevant

Lessons are personalized to your level, discipline, software, project type, and objectives. I can help you learn systematically from the beginning, understand a difficult modelling concept, complete an assignment, correct an existing file, prepare a portfolio, or develop a professional CAD or BIM project.

My goal is to help you become more accurate, efficient, systematic, and independent. You should leave each lesson understanding not only how to perform the required steps, but also why the workflow is appropriate and how to apply the same design reasoning to future projects.

Computer-aided design becomes much easier when drafting standards, geometry, engineering principles, modelling methods, documentation, and software tools are connected clearly.

My lessons help you move beyond memorizing commands. You will learn how to interpret design requirements, select the correct drawing or modelling method, construct accurate geometry, organize files professionally, produce coordinated technical documents, identify modelling errors, and communicate a design clearly.

Each lesson is personalized to your current level, discipline, software environment, academic course, assignment, portfolio objective, or professional project. We begin by identifying your existing skills, required deliverables, applicable standards, available reference information, and principal technical difficulties. We then establish a focused and practical learning plan.

The first free lesson combines a discussion of your background, objectives and tutoring needs, an initial assessment of your current knowledge, personalized planning and scheduling, and a short trial lesson so that we can determine the most effective way to work together.

You may bring your sketches, plans, engineering calculations, reference drawings, CAD files, BIM model, assignment, portfolio project, or professional design problem.

My objective is not merely to show you where commands are located. It is to help you understand how geometry, engineering logic, modelling structure, documentation, and software workflows work together so that you can produce accurate, coordinated, and professionally defensible designs independently.
