About Wan Solahuddin

I have been teaching since 2016, spending nearly a decade helping upper primary and secondary students master English, Mathematics, and Additional Mathematics. I am not a temporary tutor or a student yourself. Tutoring is my profession. I come to your home in Kota Bharu, Bachok, or Pasir Puteh prepared, punctual, and patient. My method is simple: identify exactly where you are struggling, break it down into small, understandable pieces, and practice until it clicks. There is no shouting, no rushing, and no judgment. Just clear explanations, consistent support, and real results. Parents trust me because I communicate honestly about progress. Students trust me because I show them they are capable. You will leave every lesson feeling smarter, calmer, and more confident than when we started.

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach

Techniques & Methodology

I don't lecture. I guide. Every student learns differently, so I start by finding their weak spot and turning it into their strength. I use real-life examples, step-by-step breakdowns, and lots of practice with encouragement. No pressure. No embarrassment. Just small wins that build big confidence.

For Math and Add Math, I focus on understanding the "why" behind every formula. For English, I focus on making reading and writing feel natural, not scary.

Typical Lesson Length

Each lesson runs between 1.5 to 2 hours. Long enough to make real progress. Short enough to stay focused and energized.

Qualifications & Experience

I have been teaching since 2016 — nearly a decade of home tuition experience across Kelantan. I've helped hundreds of upper primary and secondary students go from failing to passing, and from passing to excelling.

We have known each other since 2000 in high school, and during the 5-year term there, Solahuddin had always been in the top class, which resulted in him furthering his study in the US. His exposure to the country where English is the native language has made him grammatically fluent and has allowed him to capture more English vocabulary—a great capacity that will benefit the students.
