About Mina
Mina is a vibrant classical musician and dedicated educator based in New York City. Hailing from Belgrade, Serbia, she earned her master's degree from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, where she studied under flutist Judith Mendenhall. Mina’s artistry was showcased when she won the Concerto Competition, leading to a solo performance with the Queens College Orchestra. Mina also holds a master's degree in Musicology from the University of Belgrade in Serbia.
With several years of teaching experience, Mina brings her passion for music to flute students, fostering a fun and nurturing environment. Her teaching style is tailored to each student's unique learning journey, blending fun, creativity, and thoughtful guidance. Mina enjoys working with musicians of all ages, sparking a lifelong love for music through her engaging lessons.

My flute teaching focuses on building and maintaining a strong foundation in tone production, breath control, and technique while fostering creativity, musical expression, and stylistic understanding of musical pieces. I emphasize mindful playing to avoid tension and promote a more relaxed and enjoyable performance experience.
I tailor lessons to each student’s unique strengths, challenges, and interests, prioritizing open communication so that students feel supported and heard throughout their musical journey. I’m passionate about creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment and enjoy working with flutists of all ages and levels.
