About Jalen
I have over 4 years of experience teaching French and hold a Bachelor of Education in French as a Second Language. I specialize in working with complete beginners, helping them take their first steps in learning French with patience and a good sense of humor. I believe that learning should be fun, so I use games, skits, flashcards, and storytelling to make grammar and vocabulary easy to understand and enjoyable. My approach keeps students engaged and motivated, even when the material gets challenging. I focus on building confidence, especially in everyday French communication, so my students feel comfortable speaking in real-life situations. Seeing their progress and excitement as they improve is the most rewarding part of teaching. I’m patient and supportive, always encouraging students to keep trying and not be afraid of mistakes. Learning French doesn’t have to be boring or stressful—it can be a playful and creative experience. I love helping students discover the joy of the language in a relaxed, friendly way.
