About Jessa
Hi! I’m a French tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Bachelor of Education in French as a Second Language. I specialize in teaching complete beginners and love seeing the progress my students make from day one. My approach is patient, relaxed, and full of humor—I believe that learning should be enjoyable, not stressful. I use games, skits, flashcards, and storytelling to help students understand grammar and build vocabulary. These creative tools make learning fun and help the language stick naturally. I also include real-life examples and role-playing to make lessons practical and engaging. Students quickly begin to recognize patterns, form sentences, and speak with growing ease. Many of my learners start off shy but end up speaking French with confidence. I take pride in helping them feel comfortable using the language in everyday situations. My teaching approach in French is focused on helping students gain confidence, fluency, and real-life communication skills. I begin with a strong foundation in grammar and vocabulary, then build up listening and speaking speed through guided practice. I use sentence-building games, role plays, and question-answer drills to improve response timing and everyday conversation skills. My lessons are always interactive and tailored to each student’s goals, whether it’s academic success or daily communication.
I help learners build full sentences early on, so they feel ready to speak, not just memorize. To improve pronunciation and fluency, we work with phonetic exercises, tongue twisters, and reading aloud. I include regular short writing tasks to strengthen sentence structure and grammar recall.
