About Puee Yee

Hello! I am a composer, music producer, and piano teacher with a passion for helping students discover the joy and creativity of music.

I hold a Master’s degree in Music Composition from the University of Birmingham and have also studied Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude. My background in composition and multimedia music allows me to bring a broader perspective into piano education, helping students not only learn how to play, but also understand and express music.

I have experience teaching students of different ages and levels, and I believe every student has their own unique musical journey. Whether you are a beginner taking your first steps at the piano, a student looking to improve your skills, or someone who simply wants to explore music creatively, I aim to create an encouraging and enjoyable learning environment.

Outside of teaching, I actively compose music for orchestral, film, multimedia projects, and concert works. I hope to inspire students to see music not only as a subject to study, but as a form of creativity and self-expression.

About the lesson

I believe music education should go beyond simply learning notes and passing exams. My lessons focus on developing students’ musical understanding, creativity, confidence, and expression through piano playing.

As a composer and piano teacher with a Master’s degree in Music Composition from the University of Birmingham and a background in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music, I bring both professional musical experience and a creative approach into my teaching. I am currently teaching piano students of different ages and levels, from beginners to intermediate learners.

Each lesson is personalised according to the student’s goals, age, and learning pace. Depending on the student’s needs, we will explore piano technique, repertoire, music theory, ear training, improvisation, and creative activities such as arranging or composing.

My lessons are suitable for children and adults who want to build a strong foundation, improve their musical skills, or discover a deeper enjoyment of music. Lessons are typically 45 minutes to 1 hour, allowing enough time to develop technique while also exploring musical creativity and expression.
