I am a dedicated and passionate math teacher specializing in IBDP and IGCSE curriculum. I engage students with interactive lessons where they actively solve problems during class, ask questions, and explain their thought processes. This promotes deep understanding and retention.
Usual structure of a class:
Warm-up/Review (5-10 minutes): I begin with a quick recap of the previous lesson or a short exercise to refresh key concepts.
Introduction of New Topic (20-30 minutes): I introduce new concepts using examples, followed by guided practice. Students are encouraged to ask questions and clarify doubts as we move through the material.
Independent Practice (15-20 minutes): After guided examples, I provide students with individual problems to solve, allowing them to apply the concepts independently. I walk around to provide one-on-one assistance as needed.
Wrap-up and Homework Assignment (5-10 minutes): The class ends with a review of the main points and assigning targeted practice problems for reinforcement. I encourage students to ask questions about the homework in the next session.
