About Vanya
I am a passionate Mathematics tutor with over 3 years of experience and a BSc in Mathematics. I specialize in teaching advanced high school and early university students, guiding them through the deeper structures of mathematical thought. My focus lies in introducing mathematical logic, proof theory, and foundational concepts that shape rigorous reasoning. In my sessions, students explore formal reasoning, propositional and predicate logic, and the fundamentals of set theory. I believe that true understanding begins with asking the right questions—and I use paradoxes, classic proofs, and logical puzzles to spark curiosity and engagement. Whether it's Russell’s Paradox or Cantor’s diagonal argument, I make abstract ideas feel accessible and exciting. I have worked closely with students from diverse academic paths, including philosophy, computer science, and pure mathematics. Each lesson is tailored to develop clear, logical thinking and a deep understanding of formal systems. I guide students in constructing sound arguments and navigating complex mathematical texts with confidence. My goal is not only to help students succeed academically but to build their capacity for lifelong analytical thinking. If you're ready to go beyond memorization and master the art of rigorous mathematical thinking, I’m here to support your journey.

My teaching approach in Mathematics is highly structured and concept-based. I believe in building strong foundations before moving to advanced topics. Each lesson is designed to follow a clear and logical progression path. I specialize in areas like algebraic foundations, calculus concepts such as differentiation and integration, geometry proofs, and real-world applications of probability and statistics. This helps students connect theory with practical use.
I focus on one concept at a time, ensuring full understanding before introducing the next. Complex ideas are broken down into simple, manageable parts. I always adapt my teaching style to match the student's pace and learning needs. This personalized method creates a supportive and stress-free environment.
I also prepare students for exams, assignments, and future academic or career goals, especially those aiming to become actuaries or analytical problem solvers. With over 4 years of tutoring experience, I know how to guide students through challenges with confidence. I provide clear explanations, practical examples, and regular feedback. My sessions are interactive and focused on long-term understanding. Above all, I support students in excelling and gaining mastery over maths.
