About Yang Chee

19 Years of Industry Insight: Learn from a Global Creative Director

I am a professional Creative Director and Graphic Designer with nearly two decades of experience in the design industry. I hold a B.A. (Hons) in Communication Design from Limkokwing University, and my career has been defined by a passion for visual storytelling and strategic branding.

My Professional Background
Throughout my 19-year journey, I have had the privilege of working as a freelance Creative Director for a diverse range of market leaders, including:
- International Powerhouses: Leading design initiatives for the global brand Castrol.
- Japanese Industry Leaders: Crafting visual identities for Musee Platinum.
- Local Success Stories: Directing creative for Malaysia’s No. 1 residential solar panel brand, Verdant Solar.

Why I Teach
I believe that great design is a combination of technical skill and "design thinking." My goal is to take the complex world of professional design and make it accessible to everyone. Having taught design workshops for both corporate training environments and universities, I have developed a knack for identifying exactly where a beginner might get stuck and how to move past it with confidence.

What You Gain from My Experience
When you learn with me, you aren't just learning how to use Photoshop or Illustrator; you are learning how a professional thinks. I share the real-world workflows, shortcuts, and critique methods that I’ve used for major brands so that you can produce high-quality work right from the start.

About the lesson

Master the Essentials: Hands-on Design with a Industry Pro (19 Years Experience)

Who are these lessons for?
These classes are designed specifically for beginners and aspiring designers who want to stop "guessing" and start creating professional-grade work. Whether you are a student, a freelancer, a small business owner, or a hobbyist, I tailor the pace to your comfort level.

My Teaching Methodology
I believe in "Learning by Doing." We won't just stare at toolbars; we will work on projects. My approach focuses on:
- The Powerful Duo: Practical mastery of Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Design Thinking: I teach you why a design works, not just how to click buttons.
- Constructive Critique: I provide professional feedback on your existing work to help you see what’s missing.

Industry Secrets: 19 years of experience means I can teach you the shortcuts and "pro-standard" workflows used for brands like Castrol and Verdant Solar.
