About Iver

My teaching methodology is centered on motivation, patience, compassion, and creativity, making piano learning both enjoyable and effective. I believe every student learns at their own pace, so I create a calm and encouraging environment where they feel supported and confident. Each lesson is personalized, focusing on strong fundamentals like posture, hand position, technique, rhythm, and expression. I use a step-by-step approach, starting with basic exercises, simple melodies, and essential music theory. As students grow, we explore more advanced pieces, creative interpretations, and performance techniques. I also include ear training, sight-reading, and musical storytelling to help students understand music beyond the notes. Creativity is an important part of my lessons, so I encourage students to experiment with their own ideas, small compositions, and improvisation. Besides piano, I also teach music theory, composition basics, and practice strategies, helping students develop a complete musical foundation. My goal is to inspire confidence, build discipline, and make every student feel proud of their progress while enjoying their musical journey.

About the lesson

With 9 years of tutoring experience, I bring a deep passion for music and education to every piano lesson. I have taught between 150–200 students, helping both high school and college learners grow in confidence, technique, and creativity. My goal is to make piano learning meaningful and enjoyable, guiding each student toward their personal musical goals.

Throughout my teaching journey, I have celebrated many milestones, including helping students prepare for recitals, college auditions, and school performances. One of my proudest achievements was supporting a student who went on to study music at a top university, showing how the right guidance can open new opportunities.

I believe in creating a warm, supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore, ask questions, and express themselves through music. Whether a student is working on performance, theory, or personal musical projects, I am committed to helping them grow with patience, motivation, and clear direction. Together, we build strong foundations and a lifelong love for piano.
