About Marine

Native French speaker currently studying Psychology and Neuroscience, I offer a unique and human approach to learning. Alongside my studies, I am a professional musician (singer and guitarist) and have spent years touring the UK, Europe, Japan, and the USA. Having taught guitar for several years, I’ve discovered a genuine passion for sharing knowledge. For me, teaching is all about that rewarding moment when a student finally feels a 'click' with a new concept. I love the challenge of adapting to each person's rhythm and helping them gain the confidence to express themselves. My goal is to share my native language in a way that feels alive, authentic, and connected to the real world.

About the lesson

Bonjour ! I’m Marine. I am a native French speaker and a professional musician and also a Psychology/Neuroscience student. I live in a lovely village in the north east of England. Because I travel and meet people from all horizons (and live abroad), I know exactly what it’s like to want to communicate naturally without feeling weird or embarrassed.

My Approach: Real-Life French: specialise in helping non-native beginners gain confidence quickly. My goal isn't to make you a linguist, but to make you capable of having a real conversation in French (so you don’t end up sounding like you’ve just stepped out of the Renaissance!). And if you look for conversational French, I’m here to boost your confidence in speaking.

What our lessons look like:
* 0% Boredom: We focus on themes that interest you (music, travel, culture, daily life).
* Practical Tools: I provide easy-to-use materials and "cheat sheets" to help you survive in French-speaking environments.
* Pronunciation Focus: As a singer, I have a sharp ear for sounds. I’ll help you master that French accent!
* No Stress: A relaxed, safe space to make mistakes and learn from them. Logistics:
* Who: total beginners, intermediate, speaking practice (adults). * Where: 100% Online via Zoom.
* Duration: 1 hour.
* Booking: To ensure consistency and progress, I work with monthly packages (5 lessons at £30 each) paid before our first session of the month.
* Price: £30 per hour with packs. (Or £35 for one lesson)
