About Sejal

Hi, I'm Sejal! I recently completed my Undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Masters degree in Computer Science from UMass Amherst, where I developed a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and their real-world applications. I further broadened my expertise in both fields. Throughout my undergraduate years, I assisted my peers with calculus, helping them grasp complex concepts and succeed in their studies.

As a Teaching Assistant (TA) for both Mathematics and Computer Science courses, I have honed my skills in explaining difficult concepts clearly and effectively. I thoroughly enjoy guiding students to understand the "why" and "what" behind their studies, fostering natural curiosity and a genuine interest in the subject matter.

Please feel free to reach out if you need help understanding and building a strong foundation in Mathematics and Computer Science (coding and theoretical) subjects. I would love to help you out!

My teaching method focuses on building a strong conceptual foundation and encouraging critical thinking. I use a combination of visual aids, practical examples, and interactive problem-solving sessions to make complex topics more accessible. By breaking down difficult concepts into simpler parts and connecting them to real-world applications, I ensure students not only understand the material but also appreciate its relevance.

A typical lesson plan begins with a brief review of previous topics to ensure continuity. I introduce new concepts with clear explanations and illustrative examples, followed by guided practice problems. We then move to independent problem-solving, where I provide support as needed. The lesson concludes with a summary of key points and a Q&A session to address any lingering doubts.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to relate complex subjects to everyday experiences, making learning more engaging and less intimidating. My experience as a TA has equipped me with the skills to explain difficult concepts clearly and effectively, fostering a supportive and motivating learning environment. I am committed to helping students develop a natural curiosity and genuine interest in their studies, which drives academic success.

My lessons are designed for middle school, high school ,and college students who need help in Mathematics and Computer Science, including coding and theoretical subjects. Whether you are struggling with basic concepts or looking to excel in advanced topics, I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs and learning style.
