About Phil

My name is Phil Loiselle, my goal is to teach the highest standard of education to students in their chosen career path. While teaching life skills of confidence and self-esteem, communication, problem-solving, financial and business management. 40 years of successful experience in public relations and education as Owner & Director of the Vancouver Island Professional School of Hair and Esthetics and Marvel College Vancouver Campus. Director for 18 years with BMC college. Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills. Highly professional attitude. Trade certifications. Possess the following: ● Valid BC Certification. ● Valid Alberta Certification. ● Valid C of Q Red Seal ITA. ● Provincial Instructors Diploma ● BC Judge Level I & II ● Instructors Certificate Level I & II

About the lesson

Level I
This first Six weeks will consist of 0n line demonstrations and hands on mannequin practical work. Students will develop the basic skills needed in order to move to the salon and apply these skills to live clients, it will include mastering the structure of four basic cutting techniques and combinations of the four giving a total of fifteen different hair cuts and styles as well as gaining confidence and self esteem. Along with the practical, the theory needed for professional development will be delivered in conjunction with Milady’s Text book of Cosmetology. Shampooing, Draping, Trichology, Bacteriology and Sanitation, Wet setting, Thermal styling. Finalizing this level the student will challenge both theory and practical examinations.
