About Jaz

I am 30 years old and I am a full-time piano and music theory tutor. I am passionate about developing hobbies and skills that allow you to pursue creativity. I offer professional help and guidance with GCSE and A Level Music, as well as teaching the ABRSM syllabus with the option for my students to do practical and theory grade exams if they would like to.

I teach all ages and abilities. I specialise in teaching beginners from as young as 4, keeping my lessons for little ones fun although still focusing on the Classical foundations of reading and understanding music.

In my free time I love playing a mixture of Romantic composers like Debussy and Chopin as well as singing along to fun pop songs like Taylor Swift and Harry Styles!

As well as this I am a big animal lover, I have a tortoise and a cat. - Who may or may not try to interrupt our lessons!

About the lesson

I teach from my music room where I have two pianos side by side in Leigh-on-sea. I'm an experienced piano tutor specialised in tailoring my lessons to every individual student. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced pianist, I offer engaging 1-hour or 45-minute sessions in music theory, sight-reading, and classical piano with an option of ABRSM grades. I prioritize laying a strong foundation (this means no cheating by writing on the notes and numbers!!) while catering to your preferences and helping you learn any style of music you like. I am friendly, chatty and adept with all ages and abilities. Let's make learning fun and rewarding together!
