About Dejan
I’m Dejan Markovic, a classically trained violinist and dedicated music educator based in Manchester, with over a decade of experience performing and teaching across Europe. Music has been the heartbeat of my life since childhood, and I bring that same passion into every lesson I teach. My journey with the violin has taken me through conservatoires, concert halls, chamber ensembles, and private studios. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of learning from inspiring mentors and performing a wide range of repertoire—from classical masterpieces to modern compositions. But teaching has always been where my heart truly lies. I believe music should never feel intimidating or out of reach. Whether you’re picking up the violin for the very first time or returning after years away, my goal is to make the instrument approachable, expressive, and deeply enjoyable. I tailor each lesson to the individual, combining solid technique with creativity, musical understanding, and confidence-building. I work with students of all ages and backgrounds—from children taking their first steps in music to adults pursuing a lifelong passion. I also offer structured preparation for ABRSM and Trinity exams, or simply the joy of playing for personal growth and enjoyment. My students consistently achieve distinction in exams.
