I would highly recommend Stephanie Braganza as a music teacher, both for piano and vocal. My 13-year-old daughter, Anjali, has been studying piano and vocal with Stephanie for almost a year, and we’re thrilled! Not only is Stephanie extremely knowledgeable and skilled, she is also a very patient, kind, encouraging, and effective teacher. Anjali has learned a lot, both in piano and vocal, and we’re excited to see how our daughter develops musically as she continues to work with Stephanie through these online classes. Stephanie has been my singing teacher for 5 years now. She has truly helped me find and be confident in my voice. Stephanie always gives me such great advice and helps me where I am lacking. She is a very kind, talented, and interactive person. I have noticed a drastic difference with my singing voice in such a short amount of time since she has become my teacher. Stephanie is an amazing teacher, my sister and I have been doing lessons with her for around 5-6 years now and we have noticed so much improvement! Stephanie has been my son's piano teacher for over 10 years. She has been so patient and accommodating in helping to foster musicianship and skill in my 17 year old Autistic son. He is currently the grade 8 level at the RCM. He has gained a confidence through music lessons that has helped to reinforce the pursuit of excellence.

We have had our son Jake in piano lessons with Stephanie since he was 4 years old. Jake is currently 9 years old and still runs up the stairs for each lesson. Stephanie has been incredibly patient with Jake over the years and has instilled confidence. Due to Stephanie’s teaching Jake can play in front of an audience of over 50 people without any anxiety. I think the most important part of the lessons is that Stephanie keeps it fun and yet challenging. Stephanie brings the knowledge that my son needs to progress at a very good rate and will eventually work towards a high school credit. I strongly recommend Stephanie and hope to continue Jake’s lessons right through high school. It has always been a pleasure having feedback from Stephanie as she keeps it very positive. I went to Long & McQuade as a vocal student, thinking that I would just take some classes for a short period of time in order to achieve my goals and then continue on my own. This was definitely not the case. Instead, I took lessons from Stephanie for 9 years! She has taught me so much about what I can do with my voice, and has challenged me to go further than I thought was possible for myself. She would encourage me to sing different styles of songs to make my feel comfortable with the different things I can do, and hit notes I thought I couldn't. Because of this, I am more confident with what I can do and I am more confident in taking risks while singing (e.g., runs, ad libs, etc.) I can definitely say I've achieved my goals, and then some!

I worked with Stephanie primarily to create recordings for the pre-audition process at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. She helped me with several jazz standards and guided me towards improvising and being creative with the tunes. This proved to be successful as I was called back for a live audition and am now attending the university as a full time student.

Stephanie has been a fantastic vocal and piano teacher for my family for two years. Remote sessions made it easy to accommodate lessons without driving or waiting for lessons to complete. Stephanie provides a solid balance between encouragement and firmness and got my kid excited about studying more musical instruments at school.

I've greatly enjoyed my vocal lessons with Stephanie. She listened attentively to my singing goals and helped devise exercises to help me work on my vocal range and quality. Stephanie helped to find songs that would work well and would result in earlier successes, with lots of pointers for adding interest to my singing. Best of all, it was a blast singing along with her strong and beautiful voice to push me along!

Stephanie is our vocal teacher and coach for our 15 year old twins for 3 years now. The improvement and development in our girls confidence and vocal ability has grown tremendously. Stephanie has worked with them together with harmonization, as well as individually. Singing makes me feel vulnerable but I really love doing it. I’ve been thinking of taking lessons for a while to see if I had any real talent but was always shy and scared of being judged.
Enter Stephanie; she made that embarrassment fade away and was very encouraging from the very start. After a few lessons I noticed I had more courage to sing in front of others and this really surprised me. What I liked most about having her as a teacher is that I could tell that each lesson was really customized to my skills and wasn’t just from some template.
We started with some basics sure but quickly moved to a few songs I really wanted to sing. Eventually she helped me hone a few originals I had and even took the time to suggest some tweaks in the writing that made performing them easier.
If you are serious about taking your vocals to next level and want a teacher that feels more like a partner in your music journey I couldn’t recommend Stephanie more.

Stephanie is an amazing teacher. I have been with her for over a year now and my improvement is immeasurable.
