I started taking singing lessons with Marta about six months ago and have been really enjoying them. Marta is a fantastic singing teacher who has helped me develop and expand my vocal range. Marta was my teacher for many years. She taught me how to sing opera, which is something I never thought I'd be able to accomplish.

Perhaps the most valuable thing about Marta, which makes her unique amongst other teachers, is her ability to improvise and speak her instruction in a way that works with where the student is. So, when she would give me a task and I would express confusion, she was able to rephrase her instructions in a way that made sense. This was probably the main reason (though she has other qualities like kindness, being happy to be there in a rehearsal with you, professionalism, and she shares her professional successes with you) that I was able to accomplish so much. It's one thing to know how to do it herself, it's a completely separate thing to know how to communicate/instruct others to do the same thing.
And her teachings paid off outside of the sessions - I'm an avid karaoke singer who used her techniques to get some 'woops' on stage.
If you want to know one word that sums up who she is - my wife and I always said she was very regal, that is 'royally professional.'
