About Ella

I have been a guitar tutor for 14 years, teaching high school students, college learners, and older adults who want to explore music at any stage of life. My passion for education comes from a deep love for music and the belief that learning should be enjoyable for everyone. Over the 14 years, I have taught around 150–200 students, each with different dreams and goals. A proud moment in my career was helping a shy student who struggled with confidence finally play on stage at a college fest. Seeing that transformation reminded me why teaching matters so much.

I have also built simple lesson plans that help beginners learn faster without feeling overwhelmed. My teaching approach is warm, patient, and clear. I focus on understanding the student’s pace and guiding them step by step. I want every learner to feel supported and inspired, whether they aim to perform, relax with music, or simply try something new. Teaching guitar is not just my job—it is my way of sharing joy and helping others grow.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology follows the principles of Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility. These values help me guide students of all ages and levels through their guitar learning journey. Communication is the first step in my teaching. I always aim to explain things clearly and in simple language. I use slow demonstrations and visual examples when needed. I encourage students to speak openly about what they understand and what they struggle with. This two-way communication helps me adjust the lesson to their needs and makes the learning process smooth and stress-free. Creativity is what makes music enjoyable. Guitar playing becomes more meaningful when students feel free to express themselves.

For this reason, I include creative elements in my lessons. These may include writing small riffs, exploring chord shapes, practising different strumming patterns, and learning songs that match their interests. Creative activities help students understand how music works and also make the lessons more fun and personal. Flexibility helps me create a comfortable pace for each student. Some students learn better through repetition, others through exploration. Some like theory, others prefer learning by ear. I adapt my teaching based on their strengths, challenges, and goals. Whether a student wants to learn acoustic techniques, electric guitar basics, fingerstyle, rhythm playing, or beginner lead guitar, I adjust the lesson plan to support their progress. In addition to guitar, I also teach related subjects like music theory, rhythm development, and ear training. These subjects are very helpful for building a strong musical foundation. My goal is to support each student in a friendly, flexible, and creative environment where learning the guitar becomes a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
