About TJ
I am very professional and work hard for each student. I make sure I am always available for whatever might come up in their lives as well as their studies. I am an open book and share bits of my own journey that has gotten me to a great place. I believe everyone has a story with both struggles and achievements. By sharing, we learn not only from each other, but also from ourselves. I’ve achieved stellar evaluations from students and faculty and have been nominated for Professor of the year on many occasions. I’ve taught over 4,000 students, watched them each grow, and celebrated their achievements.

I am very unorthodox in my approach to teaching. I do not believe in exams and offer a stress free and supportive environment. The ultimate goals for my courses is to have each student come out a better person, have higher self confidence, embrace different perspectives, see their potential, and gain skills to achieve whatever it is that they desire in life. We discuss everything from love languages, communication apprehension, confidence, resilience, vulnerability, emotional intelligence, and the power of your own voice.
