About Samantha
I am a certified teacher of twelve years in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I earned my undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University in Elementary and Middle School Math Education. I taught 6/7th grade Math for six years and then earned my Master’s Degree in Education from Davenport University. I then taught 4th grade Math for 6 years. I am now home on Maternity leave with my baby girl. I plan to continue tutoring even when I go back so I look forward to working with your child for some time to come!

Do you need a different perspective to understand math? I often work with students who don’t “get math” at the start of the year and are excited to work through math problems by the end of the year. They go on to use what I have taught them for years to come and apply problem solving skills in other areas of their lives.
