About Phillip

Howdy, my name is Phillip Scruggs but you can call me Mr. Phill! I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Longwood University class of 2016, along with a Master's degree in Justice Studies from Arizona State University class of 2020. I specialize in humanities studies, so anything that has to do with helping us better understand human nature and the culture that comes from it. I am a published poet and performing spoken word artist. I love all things creativity and I am here to help you reach your goals and dreams.

About the lesson

What’s going on y'all? The name’s Mr. Phill! I have worked for the past three years as a teacher assistant in special education where I helped to make the learning environment fun and less boring. In many ways I’m like an anti-teacher who’s a teacher. I personally believe in exploring every student’s creative passions and helping them learn the skills that they would need to create their best dream life! Because despite what other teachers might have told you, I believe in you and I want you to live your best life doing what you want to do! I’m just here to support you as you find out what you truly want to do!
