About Richard
Hi, I’m Richie DeVita — a lifelong learner, passionate educator, and someone who believes in turning purpose into action. Welcome to my education journey! Early Life & Education I was born and raised in Sarasota, Florida — a coastal city known for its rich culture and the stunning Siesta Key Beach (ranked the #1 beach in the U.S.). In 2013, I graduated from Pine View School for the Gifted, where my love for learning was sparked. That same year, after a college tour through North Carolina, I found my second home at High Point University, a place that would shape both my academic and professional future. Academic Background path through higher education is a story of discovery and growth: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications – High Point University Master’s in Strategic Communications – High Point University Master of Arts in Teaching (Elementary Education) – High Point University (2019) Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership – In Progress Although I began in communications, it was during those courses that I realized my heart was in the classroom, not just as a student, but as a teacher. I followed that calling, and every step since has confirmed I’m exactly where I belong.
