About Pauline
After I finished high school, I spent a year working overseas, which gave me a lot of independence and perspective. After that, I returned home to complete my Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science, where I built a strong academic foundation in science-based subjects.
Later, I moved to Australia to complete my Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences, and I’ve been living in Brisbane since then. I’m currently working full time, but I wanted something alongside it that feels meaningful and personally rewarding.
I’ve always enjoyed challenges and learning new things, but I also really like helping others understand things more clearly. I want to help students feel more confident, less overwhelmed, and understand what they’re learning, not just get through it.

I like to keep tutoring calm, supportive, and easy-going so students feel comfortable and not under pressure. My focus is on helping them really understand what they’re learning, rather than just memorising things for school.
I usually break topics down into simple, manageable steps and explain things in a few different ways until they make sense. I also adapt to how each student learns best — some need more examples, others learn better by working through practice questions together. I’m patient and happy to go at a pace that helps build confidence over time.
I haven’t worked as a formal tutor before, but I helped children with their homework while working as an au pair, which gave me good experience supporting learning in a practical way.
I completed both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences (Master’s in Australia) with strong academic results, and I’ve always had a solid understanding of science-based subjects. I’m fluent in English and German and offer support in maths, biology, geography, and German.
A typical lesson is 60 minutes, which I find is a good length to stay focused without getting overwhelmed.
