About Nadirah

Hello, I’m Nadirah, a guidance and counselling professional with nearly nine years of experience supporting adolescents in the education sector. I hold a Master of Education in Guidance and Counselling from Universiti Putra Malaysia and am currently pursuing a PhD focusing on grief and counselling interventions.

I enjoy teaching because I believe counselling concepts become truly meaningful when students can connect theory with the complexity of real human experiences. As a tutor, I strive to create a thoughtful and psychologically safe learning space where students are encouraged to question deeply, reflect honestly and develop their own professional voice. My goal is not simply to help students understand counselling, but to nurture the empathy, insight and confidence needed to become practitioners who can genuinely make a difference in people’s lives.

About the lesson

My lessons are interactive, supportive and tailored to each student’s learning goals. I use clear explanations, real-life counselling examples, guided discussions, case studies, role-play and practical exercises to help students connect counselling theories with actual practice.

A typical lesson lasts between 60 and 90 minutes. We may begin by identifying the areas you find challenging, followed by a structured explanation, guided practice and a short review to strengthen your understanding. Students may also bring specific topics, assignments or presentation materials they need help understanding and improving.

I hold a Master of Education in Guidance and Counselling from Universiti Putra Malaysia and have nearly nine years of professional experience in school counselling. I am currently pursuing a PhD focusing on grief, counselling interventions and emotional well-being. My professional experience includes individual and group counselling, adolescent development, career guidance, counselling programmes, module development, mentoring and student training.

My lessons are suitable for diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate students studying counselling, psychology, education or related subjects. I also welcome trainee counsellors, educators and working adults who wish to strengthen their helping, communication, research or presentation skills.
