About Awa

I was a tutor for 2 years at UKZN, I had a class of 40 students. During this period, I discovered that a one-on-one session allows students to express themselves without fear. I prefer this interaction technique because it gives students confidence and improves their understanding. And I'm currently using the same technique, the result is positive.

About the lesson

I give students the opportunity to learn on their own first, then I step in to explain and clarify whatever difficulty they might have. Some students happen to be shy, so it is my responsibility to assist each one of them until they are satisfied, preferably.

Awa was my tutor for Stat130 at UKZN. Statistics was a challenging module but she had the ability to break down the concepts so I could understand them better. She would then give me examples to clarify the concepts. After I attempted them, she would go through each problem with me and explain them to me. She was extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend her as a tutor.
