About Ustaz Abrar Jusmer Lc

Assalamu’alaikum and hello everyone, my name is Abrar Jusmer.

I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Teaching Arabic for Non-native Speakers at the Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia. Previously, I earned my Bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Sharia at the same university. I also studied Arabic Literature at LIPIA Jakarta (a branch of Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, Saudi Arabia), where I was accepted directly without having to attend a preparatory language program.

In addition to teaching, I have worked as a Translator for the Indonesian and Malay Language Curriculum for Arabic Speakers, providing translation services for the Ministry of Tourism of Saudi Arabia. In this role, I ensured that the curriculum is accurately and culturally appropriately adapted for Arabic-speaking learners.

I have extensive experience teaching Arabic. In 2019, I served as an Arabic Language Coordinator, overseeing and teaching Arabic to over 1,000 students. This experience has significantly strengthened my ability to teach Arabic in a structured and effective manner to learners from diverse backgrounds.

I was honored to win first place in the Arabic-language Quranic Interpretation (Tafsir) competition at the provincial level in Riau and achieved a Mumtaz (excellent) score on the Arabic TOAFL proficiency exam.

My students come from various backgrounds, including university students, site supervisors, entrepreneurs, mechanics, and private learners from Indonesia and Malaysia.

I apply an interactive and communicative teaching approach, tailored to each student’s goals and level—whether beginner or advanced.

About the lesson

I offer a variety of classes designed to meet the needs of students as follows:

1. Arabic Class (Arabiyyah Baina Yadaik) This class covers all levels, from beginner to advanced, using the Arabiyyah Baina Yadaik book. The curriculum includes letter recognition, vocabulary, as well as formal Arabic and daily conversation.

2. Arabic Conversation Class A class focused on developing speaking skills. Through discussions and simulations of real-life situations, participants will learn to speak fluently and confidently in a variety of contexts.

3. Arabic Grammar Class This class covers Arabic grammar rules, from basic to advanced, to deepen understanding and application of grammar.

4. Arabic for Professionals Designed for individuals who require Arabic in a professional context. The curriculum includes vocabulary and expressions used in the workplace, such as in business, etc.
