About Jay Ashok
Hi there! I’m Jay, and I love making Math, Science, and Computer Science fun and understandable. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Analytics at Monash University and hold a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from SVNIT. Over the past 2 years, I’ve tutored school students from Class 6 to 12, helping them not just improve grades, but also gain confidence and enjoy learning. In my lessons, I mix structured explanations with interactive problem-solving, using worksheets, coding exercises, experiments, and real-life examples. I focus on clarity, understanding, and building problem-solving skills, so every student can feel confident tackling new challenges. My Approach to Tutoring:
I follow a mixed teaching approach, combining structured explanations with interactive problem-solving. My goal is to make complex concepts in math, science, and computer science simple, understandable, and even fun.
Each lesson typically lasts 1–2 hours, depending on the topic and student needs. I use a variety of resources and tools, including worksheets, online platforms, coding exercises, experiments, and real-life examples, to ensure lessons are engaging and practical.
I have 2 years of experience tutoring school students in maths and science during my undergraduate studies (Mechanical Engineer), helping students from Class 6 to 10 improve their understanding, grades, and confidence. My lessons focus on conceptual clarity, problem-solving skills, and exam preparation, tailored to each student’s learning style and pace.
