About Kashaf
As a tutor, I focus on helping students build deep conceptual understanding—not just memorize formulas or follow patterns. I believe that when students understand the "why" behind what they’re learning, confidence and performance naturally follow. My teaching philosophy is grounded in the idea that winners don’t do different things—they do things differently. I help students learn how to think critically, approach problems creatively, and study effectively.

Teaching Method & Techniques: - I begin by identifying the student's current level of understanding and learning style. - I use clear explanations, visual aids, real-world examples, and active questioning to deepen comprehension. - I emphasize problem-solving strategies, conceptual clarity, and exam techniques—customizing each session to the student’s needs. - For standardized tests (SAT, AP), I focus on timing strategies, common pitfalls, and high-yield practice. Typical Lesson Plan: - Quick Review: Start with a short recap or warm-up to reinforce previous material. - Concept Focus: Introduce or deepen understanding of a key topic using interactive explanation. - Guided Practice: Work through problems together, encouraging the student to think aloud and explain their reasoning. - Independent Work: Student attempts new problems with coaching as needed. - Wrap-Up & Strategy: Review key takeaways, set goals for next time, and assign optional follow-up practice. What Sets Me Apart: - I’m a Cornell-educated electrical engineer with a consistent academic record as an honor student throughout my education. - I scored 1500 on the SAT and earned a Top in the World distinction in O Level Additional Mathematics, demonstrating both subject mastery and a strong personal commitment to excellence. - I’ve successfully taught O/A Levels, SAT, AP, and general Math and Science to a wide range of students—from elementary to high school. - I combine deep subject expertise with a clear, patient teaching style that helps students truly understand concepts, not just memorize them. - I’m passionate about helping students gain confidence, independence, and genuine interest in learning. Who My Lessons Are For - Elementary to high school students looking for support in Math, Physics, or Chemistry - Students preparing SAT Math or AP Courses (Calculus, Physics, Chemistry) - Learners who want to strengthen fundamentals, boost test performance, or build long-term academic confidence - Those who may feel overwhelmed or disengaged and need clear, encouraging guidance
