About Karl

I am a math specialist at U of T. My favorite area of math is Linear Algebra. I like to read through math textbooks on my spare time.

Honestly, I don’t think I’m talented at math since I spent significantly more times on understanding the textbooks than most of my classmates. But I’m passionate about it and I like to think about the ideas behind each theorems on my way home or to school. Math would be boring if you don’t see the connections in between each step and how it implies the other. But if you do, then it won’t be that bad.

I aim to help you understand why each solutions are the way they are and help you to be able to derive them your own. Perhaps also show you the beauty of mathematics.

About the lesson

I aim to construct a logical procedure to the solutions for any problems.

I will start the lesson by explaining the topics first.
Do few simple examples first. And work through the hard problems with the student.

I believe that if a student is having trouble with the current math he/she is learning, then it must be that he/she is weak at some of the previous math concepts that are essential for the topics that he/she is learning right now. So I aim to figure out the student’s weak side and help them to be better at math in general.
