About Anika

I am a Math tutor with over 3 years of experience and a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science. My teaching focuses not only on problem-solving but also on how students communicate their mathematical thinking. I believe clarity in explanation is as important as arriving at the right answer. That’s why I work with students to build strong exposition skills and develop confidence in expressing complex ideas. I specialize in breaking down abstract concepts into simple, clear steps. This helps students write coherent mathematical arguments and present their reasoning effectively. Over the years, I have supported learners in crafting university essays, structuring research papers, and preparing clear presentations. Many of my students have found that improving how they explain mathematics has also improved their overall academic writing. My sessions are structured but flexible, allowing space for both guided practice and independent exploration. I encourage students to refine their style of explanation while ensuring their understanding is solid. I aim to create an environment where mathematical ideas feel approachable and communication feels natural. In every session, I emphasize accuracy, clarity, and confidence. About the lesson

My teaching approach to Math is relaxed, practical, and connected to real-world applications. I believe that math should not feel distant or abstract, but part of how we think and solve problems every day. I focus on helping students at all levels, whether they are just beginning or tackling advanced concepts. Algebra, Calculus, and Geometry are central, but I also guide learners through areas linked to computer science, such as discrete mathematics, coding logic, algorithmic thinking, and understanding computational processes. Programming analogies are a big part of my lessons. By linking equations and structures to code, I make abstract math ideas feel more concrete and usable. This approach helps students see how the rules of math mirror the logic behind software and algorithms. I am very good at working with students who enjoy building frameworks (Architects) and those who thrive on deep reasoning (Proof Seekers). I support them in expressing their ideas clearly and in communicating naturally about complex computational problems. My sessions are designed to build confidence while encouraging curiosity. Sometimes we go step by step, other times we jump into applications to see the bigger picture. I encourage learners to explore, question, and create connections between math and technology. Every problem we solve is not just about numbers—it is about learning to think in structured, logical ways. In the end, my goal is to make math feel less like a subject to be studied and more like a tool to shape your digital life.
