About Maryann
My first degree was a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science. For many years, I was a programmer. Later, I received an MS in Nonprofit Management and started two nonprofit organizations. Now, I am pursuing an accounting certificate which will allow me to sit for the CPA exam.

My teaching approach would be to start with a conceptual understanding of the subject, then provide practical examples, and repeat. Many times people can grasp the concept if the example is money. If the math is understood, then I would practice test-taking techniques. Math has a peace and comfort that comes from only one correct answer.
