About Dipsika
As an undergraduate studying Biology at University of Missouri - Kansas City, I’ve spent years tutoring siblings, cousins, and classmates, helping them turn difficult concepts into manageable steps. I take my role as a tutor seriously — I always come prepared, communicate clearly, and focus on building confidence as much as knowledge. I’m not just teaching students to memorize a concept — I’m helping them build the confidence to apply it in class and even explain it to others. I know how challenging big ideas can feel; I’ve seen my own siblings and students take weeks to fully grasp certain topics. Because I’ve spent much of my life tutoring my younger siblings and cousins, I’ve learned that patience is key. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable going at their own pace, knowing that steady progress leads to real understanding and lasting confidence.
A Typical Lesson Plan :
Warm-up / Quick Review (5 minutes) – Ease into our lesson, review homework or refresh knowledge from last session.
Main Lesson (20–25 minutes) – Introduce the new concept using examples, visuals, or guided steps.
Practice Together (10–15 minutes) – Work through problems or activities with me guiding.
Independent Try (5–10 minutes) – Student attempts a problem alone.
Wrap-up & Next Steps (5 minutes) – Summarize key points and assign small homework.
