About Lyra
My fascination with mathematics started during my Bachelor’s studies and deepened through a Master’s in Applied Mathematics. Over the past 9 years, I have helped students develop problem-solving skills, conceptual understanding, and analytical thinking across all levels of mathematics. My teaching philosophy emphasizes clarity, patience, structured explanation, and connecting abstract concepts to real-life examples, ensuring learners build both competence and confidence.
I structure lessons to support different learning levels, balancing theory, guided practice, and problem-solving challenges. Beginners solidify fundamental concepts and build confidence, intermediate learners strengthen reasoning and analytical skills, and advanced students tackle higher-level mathematics, proofs, and applied problem-solving. I encourage learners to question, explore, and approach mathematics with curiosity and persistence, cultivating a deep understanding that supports long-term academic growth.
Beyond teaching, I remain engaged with contemporary mathematical research, problem-solving competitions, and applied analytical projects. I bring these insights into lessons to inspire students and demonstrate mathematics’ relevance in real-world contexts. I focus on algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and applied mathematics, using a clear, stepwise approach. Beginners learn foundational operations, problem-solving techniques, and conceptual understanding. Intermediate learners tackle equations, functions, graphing, probability, and basic modeling.
